The main difference between checkweighers and belt scales
Most
checkweighers use belt conveyors, and their weighing principle is also realized under the condition of dynamic material transportation, which is similar to
Belt scales. But there are still many differences between the two, the main differences are:
1) The weighing object of the checkweigher is pre-packaged discrete load items, such as directly separable items (such as a fish, a box of pills), or packaged bottles, bags, boxes, etc., while the weighing objects of the
Belt scale are mostly bulk powder, granular, block materials, which are continuous loads;
2) The weighing of the load carrier of the checkweigher is mostly the overall weighing of the entire weighing section of the belt conveyor with a very short length, while the weighing of the load carrier of the belt scale is mostly the local weighing on the long-distance belt conveyor;
3) The checkweigher usually includes a weighing sensor, a photoelectric tube and a rejection device, while the belt scale usually includes a weighing sensor and a speed sensor;
4) The weighing purpose of the checkweigher is to obtain the weight of each item (displayed in mg, g, kg), while the weighing purpose of the belt scale is to obtain the instantaneous flow rate (displayed in kg/h, t/h) and cumulative flow rate (displayed in kg, t) of the material.
